Judas had eagerly waited for this weekend to enjoy a bit of time with dropping off some toys to the orphanage. He helped keep the place up to date by using his knowledge of basic carpentry and other such things. It just…he felt like he needed to do it. Even if he was marked as a criminal, he felt like his job was to help out other people as much as he could. At least innocent kids. Kids were small, adorable, and usually were pretty innocent when it came to the problems in their lives. His mother helped at the hospital- he wanted to help where he felt more connected. So in one arm, he carried a bag full of beanie plushies, toy cars, and just in general things he knew he liked to play with as a child.
So as he reached the children’s home, a small smile flickered to Judas’ face. It was hard to be happy in the face of this rather unhappy place sometimes. However he felt like maybe if he just helped out somehow, a kid would feel better. Something good would happen. Blue eyes gave a cursory glance around the front area- seeing if there was any broken down toys and he was pleased to see most of the fixes in place that he had done last time. The windows were clean- the car’s wheel was still intact, all of those things he could do- and they lasted. He was greeted by one of the women who worked there, who gave him a rough hug and cooed at him briefly.
It used to make him rather uncomfortable, but he just realized that was ‘Mary’ and ‘Mary did whatever Mary was going to do and you couldn’t do a thing about it’. So as he handed over the toys, he gave a small smile to the woman and briefly asked her about fixing anything. He almost jumped out of the skin when Mary yelled at the top of her lungs for an unfamiliar name for him to show him to the kitchen. She briefly tittered about him looking at the sink and ducked off. He was now standing in the middle off the hallway rubbing his ear. Because the woman had the pipes of a siren. Ow.
