The Shelter - or nicknamed 'Safe Homes' by the staff and volunteers is a animal shelter. They are a no kill shelter but have a very hard time keeping it that way. Since the event however they seem to have found a surplus of food and space that has been built without anyone's knowledge. However because of the 'event' no one is really adopting either.

About twenty miles to the West is Westhill Jail. The rather large jail is surrounded by swamp so it's rather hard to get to and even harder to escape from. The jail is well stocked and well secured. Westhill seems to have plenty of jobs that end up being revolving doors. That being said since there is usually someone who is forcibly released in jail rather often the tensions between Criminal and Law Factions grow even worse in jail.

To the north, unlike the police station or the home like areas is a moderate sized zoo known for their big cat exhibits. It is a growing zoo- and it doesn't exactly have a lot to work with. However since the event the land seems to have cleared and built itself and there are plenty of new jobs and exhibits around. It's now as if the zoo has a mind of it's own.

A rather descriptive apartment complex that has studio apartments ranging to three bedroom apartments. They're kept up decently though since the event people still seem to fight over the stupidest of things like parking. Beings help you if you steal someone's covered parking space. The beings would probably be the best punishment you could get out of that.
