Perfectly painted fingernails moved fluidly across the keys as the blonde pressed each note in turn. The sounds of the piano filled the room gradually as she worked further through the song, teal eyes closing as her breathing deepened. The girl’s body moved along with the song, and as she allowed herself to relax more, the music got arguably better. No longer tight and precise, but expressed with slightly more feeling, it flowed through her body and made her fingers and toes tingle. It wasn’t often that Evelyn got in the mood to play the piano. It was something she had learned when she was younger, and while she enjoyed it every now and then, it wasn’t exactly her passion. Either way, it was a good release. The young woman had a myriad of skills, things she had perfected over the years for pageant talents.
None of her talents had ever quite stuck with her, or made her feel the same way, as gymnastics did. However the school was not equipped with a place for her practice her gymnastics, but the music room was a quick walk from the dorm she shared with her sister. Thoughts of the dorm made her realize that she needed to clean it, but she had plenty of time for that later. Her early morning class for the next day had been cancelled, which meant the slender girl would likely be up all night either way.
Pale fingers ceased in their movement slowly as the song drew to a close, and bright eyes were opened once again as the music faded from the room. A smile twitched on her lips, just a ghost of one, but anyone who knew the girl extensively knew that real smiles were harder to come by for her. Not that she was unhappy, she just liked to save them for special moments. She wore fake smiles for her pageants all the time, she didn’t want to wear them for her real life too.
