Deluxe season passes in hand, Angelique Claire Rosstillo strolled through the main entrance into one of her favorite recreation establishments. The FunPlex was rather new to the metropolitan area and it was a blessing that the toy box included this within its confides. There really wasn't much of teen entertainment in the confides of the box, since all the major theme parks were outside the box and thus unreachable. All that was left was the local places, like the bowling alley, skate rinks (roller and ice), and other localities of the like. FunPlex, however, was the shinning jewel of family fun. It had everything. Roller skating, bowling, Arcades, indoor and outdoor go-karts, laser tag, 3D theater, virtual machines, bumper cars, and that was just some the indoor stuff. Outside there were carnival style amusements, small scale roller coasters, and a water park. Unfortunately the outdoor stuff would not open till the summer. Their darling older brother Alex had bought his younger sisters the passes for Valentines day, of all days. It was a a real bummer that their little sister Avery had another commitment and couldn't join them, but the twins were still excited. Angie so much so that she had hugged him excitedly and had exclaimed that she could kiss him for it. Then she gave her twin a fleeting glance and wink and did just that, and on the lips to boot. His reaction was priceless, and seeing this made her prolong and deepen her kiss until he was able to push her away. She and her twin just laughed. Angie tried to act as if it was no big deal, but the color to her cheeks said otherwise. Angie couldn't believe she'd actually done it. Jackie pulled Angie away soon after. The girls disappeared into Jackie's room where the sound of giggling and hushed excited conversations could be heard on where they would proclaim their bother to be a good kisser. Their older sister Vivien must have been in on it also, because in their valentines day card from her, there were multi-zone monthly transit passes. It was great. They could go anywhere buses or light rail went, without having to ask for someone to be available to drive them anywhere. One such bus route stopped in front of the FunPlex. The season did not actually start till June, but the deluxe perk included limited access in the preseason. The twins wasted no time in cashing in one of those preseason days. Angie was so excited. She rushed right in with her twin in tow and flashed her pass. The employee at the entrance smiled at her, and then did a double take when Jackie walked up next to Angie. The twins so loved the reactions of people that they often struck a poses. The guy blushed and Angie couldn't help herself. "No one spiked you coffee, dude. We're twins." She laughed and posed with her twin. Angie couldn't stop giggling at him. He just gawked. Once past the guy, Angie walked out onto the floor and slowly looked at the surroundings. "This is great, Jackie! Its not packed today." She announced. She took her twins hand and glanced over at her. "What do you want to do first?" Angie asked while squeezing her twins hand gently. Her gaze drifted to look behind Jackie to the guy at the door. He was still staring at them, so she winked and stuck out her tongue playfully and waved her other hand. He didn't look away till the next guest through the door called out to get his attention. Angie snorted and turned her attention back to her twin. "That guy's silly. Might be his first time seeing twins?" She asked with a giggle. Jacqueline Rosstillo

A yawn was stifled as the brunette followed after her sister, pink eyes scanning the area. The FunPlex was new in the area, which was definitely nice. Being bored was rather foreign to the girl, but she had found herself slightly bored in past months. You could only go to the same skating rink and mall so many times before it got old. She wasn’t exactly pleased with being trapped in the toybox, but at the very least her family was here with her. She knew some people had been cut off from their families, and she wasn’t quite sure how she would have taken that had it happened to her. Though her English had improved in recent months, she often found herself falling back to French when she was upset or even distracted. She hated speaking English. It didn’t come as naturally or flow off of her tongue nearly as well. So it was unlikely that she would have even been able to appropriately express herself initially.
Thoughts of languages and being trapped were dismissed, however, as she stepped up beside her twin and flashed her pass as well. She recognized the look of confusion on the man’s face well. Even though she had cut her hair shorter than her sister’s about two years ago, people still seemed shocked by seeing them. A soft giggle fell from her lips as she struck the pose with her sister, pulling down one of her eyelids and sticking her tongue out at the man before she skipped right through.
A nod of assent was given at her sister’s words, thin fingers curling around a hand that was identical in size and shape to her own. Violet eyes continued to scan the area as her twin’s question hit the air. What did she want to do? She pursed her lips, finally coming to a decision. “Let’s do laser tag~” She suggested, smiling warmly at her sister before her eyes moved to the man as he was brought up again. His attention made her feel slightly uncomfortable for reasons she couldn’t really place. “Maybe. There are a lot of twins around here, though. Remember, we have a set of twins for teachers, even.” She babbled in French, refusing to speak the local language around her family. “I bet he just thought you were hot.” She teased, digging her elbow into her sister’s ribs gently.

Having Jacqueline's hand in her own always put her in the best of moods. It was weird, yet she understood it to be commonplace when it came to twins. She always felt whole when she was in contact with her other half, as if something was missing when they were apart. They shared a lot of things besides looks and got along famously, if not freakishly. And it was to be expected in a way, but then they were both different and their own persons personality wise. It just didn't matter how different their likes and personalities were. Everything just worked somehow. She intertwined her fingers in her twins and it was like slipping on a perfectly fitted glove. Jackie's choice of Laser Tag, was of course, the perfect choice. Angie beamed at her twin. "That's a simply splendid choice" She exclaimed in their native french. Angie had assimilated the English language rather quickly, and did not have a preference any more, but she knew her twin was most comfortable with French, and would use it exclusively in her presence when at home, or when it was just the two of them. Daddy had taught them it was rude to do so when in company of those who did not know the language, so even Jackie made sure to switch when appropriate. Jackie replied to her hypothesis about the guy, and Angie nodded. "I know, right? Must be something in the water here in america. We were so rare in France. I guess I'm still used to the reactions there." Angie said in response. She turned to her twin in time to see the look in her features. Angie knew that look. Her twin was uneasy. It made Angie revisit what happened and realize that the guy was creepy, after all. Jackie was right. There was no need for such a reaction. Especially here in a busy recreation center where, surely it was not that rare to see twins. At the words 'I bet he just thought you were hot'. Angie shivered. She glanced at the guy one last time, and found him staring again, even while he should have been paying attention to the customers he was processing. "Lets go. That guy's giving me the hivie jivies" She said as her smile wavered. Angie turned away quickly and pulled her twin towards the Laser Tag arena. "I didn't realize it till you reminded me that it shouldn't be that rare here." She explained her sudden change in opinion. Angie stopped once they reached the arena. Turned to her twin as she inhaled and exhaled a large breath, and smiled anew. "Okay, so how are we going to play this?." She asked taking both her twins hands in hers. "We've gotta insist on being on the same team, obviously." She added. They'd played it before back in France a few times, and always did well while watching each others back. There were perks to being in sync. Jacqueline Rosstillo

Jackie had expected her twin to agree with her choice of laser tag. It was something that both of them enjoyed. They were both rather active, though Jackie went more with sports while her sister was more into cheerleading. Not to say that cheerleading wasn’t a sport. Climbing all over people like they did had to be hard, after all. It was simply a sport that was more feminine, and therefore it was something that Jackie wanted nothing to do with. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to be a girl or that she resented being a girl, she simply preferred activities where one didn’t have to wear a skirt and cheer on someone doing something that you could do just as well. And of course, she was in ballet, but anyone who said ballerinas weren’t badass had no idea the kind of work that went into it.
“Americans are weird.” She muttered in response to her twin’s comment. Of course, there was really no need to be quiet. She was pretty certain that none of them could speak French anyway. She had always liked visiting America back when they could leave, but now that they were trapped here she found herself liking it less and less. They were weird. Case in point, the man who was staring at them right now. He was too old for them, what in the hell was his problem? Rather than look away from him, pink eyes narrowed as her grip increased on her sister’s hand. Had Angie not pulled her away, she likely would have said something. What right did that creep have to make her sister uncomfortable? She swore under her breath in French, but then shook her head. She shouldn’t let him ruin her day.
She rolled her shoulders as they reached the arena, seemingly shaking off the aforementioned feelings of resentment and anger. As long as he didn’t cause any problems, it would be fine. “Obviously.” She agreed, pressing closer to her sister. It usually wasn’t a problem for them to get placed on the same teams. People seemed hesitant to separate them. She was pretty sure that everyone understood, to a certain extent, that it was wrong to do so. “How about we come up with a strategy later?” She questioned. Jackie wasn’t one for planning. She was one for doing.

It looked like Angie had acted just in time to avoid a potential confrontation. Jackie's hand had tightened on her own just a moment before Angie pulled her away from the situation. Its not that Angelique was afraid or anything. She just wanted to get away from that guy as quickly as possible. There was something about him... a feeling that she got that bringing any more attention to themselves from that guy was going to end badly. Once they'd put some distance, and the whole arcade floor, between themselves and the creep, Angie had breathed easier. Her twin looked to calm also, which was perfect. They were there to have fun after all. Angie put the guy out of her mind and concentrated on that. Jacqueline looked to be in total agreement with the reply of 'Obviously' to Angie's suggestions. That is until she suggested that they not strategize beforehand. The "But's" she would have voiced were forgotten quickly since Jackie pressing closer to her was soothing. It was almost like smoking a joint. It had that calming effect on her that just made her feel that all was perfect in the world. Jackie was her own exclusive blend, not that she ever tried the illegal substance. Her hypothesis was based on what she'd read and heard to about its effects. "Sure. It's probably best" She agreed. The twins were no amateurs. They even had their own hand signals and sounds to communicate. Not that they needed those. They could read each other exceptionally well. They were serious as a heart attack, when it came to competitions. "Look, Jackie. This is just a game to them. In France, it's almost a sport" Angie commented as she looked up at the monitor that was showing a re-play of the game played prior. "Lets light them up" She said with a laugh at the obvious pun. They dawned their gear and looked to be just in time for the next game. Angie glanced at their competition and grinned. "Peice of cake" she whispered after sizing them up. It was mainly guys, and she could see they were already writing them off as easy marks. She was going to make them eat those smirks. Jacqueline Rosstillo
