In order to escape the conflict, the Rosstillo’s moved to America where they would remain in hiding until it was safe enough to return to France. They would return as nobility and would retain the family money over the years even after their title was removed. Over time the family remained influential and eventually the family name and influenced was passed to one Felicia Rosstillo. Though the Rosstillo’s were influential, they had their share of enemies and after several attempts on their lives, bodyguards were hired including a man named Miguel who was Felicia’s personal bodyguard. As head of the family at the time, Felicia was in the spotlight more often than not and Miguel ended up saving her life several times. The two would grow close and would date off and on through the years before Felicia would ask to marry Miguel who would agree. Not long after they got married, Felicia and Miguel would have their first child, a boy they would name Alexander. Alex was spoiled as a child and given everything he could possibly want though despite this, the boy was very shy and not near as adventurous as his parents were. He preferred to read quietly or play by himself rather than socialize with other kids. His parents were concerned at first but after a while they stopped worrying about Alex and his quiet behavior. Shortly after Alex turned two, he would gain his first sister whom he would grow extremely close to, he enjoyed being with his new baby sister and tried to show her everything he liked to do especially when it came to the garden he loved to play in. A year later, Alex gained another sibling which, like his other sister he adored and did his best to be the best big brother he could be. He found himself growing closer to his two sisters and did whatever he could to make them happy. Even with two siblings to play with, Alex was still quiet and since starting school, his teachers expressed some concern about his anti-social behavior with the other boys his age. In an effort to try to boost Alex’s confidence, Felicia suggested enrolling him in pageants. They weren’t just for girls after all, or so she insisted and if anything it would help draw Alex out of his shell. After some time Miguel agreed on the condition that Alex would be allowed to do what he liked outside of the pageants and would be able to stop whenever he wished. At first, Alex loved the pageants because it was something he could do with his little sisters and it did help to boost his confidence like Felicia had wanted. He learned that it was alright to like different things and even liked dressing up in the pretty gowns to a certain extent. Alex was able to win a couple of the pageants, much to his delight and even let his sisters try on his crown. The boys at his school didn’t see it like that however and constantly teased him, pulling on his hair among other things. Thankfully the teachers were always quick to step in and stop the bullying but Alex began to stay away from other boys because he was afraid of getting hurt again. The girls in his class were much nicer just like his little sisters back home and he didn’t have to worry about getting his hair pulled. During Alex’s middle school years, he gained more sisters, each as adorable as the next, or so Alex believed. He didn’t mind being the only boy out of seven kids, it just meant that he had more siblings to protect; he even asked Miguel to teach him how to defend himself so that he could protect his sisters. Miguel agreed easily but only after making Alex promise that he would only use what he learned in self-defense and not to attack those that provoked him, no matter how well deserved to which Alex readily agreed. With the lessons, he grew more confident and hoped that they would be able to help with the bullies at school, or at least make them back off. Unfortunately, the boys at school were just as mean, if not worse than before and would often corner him in the locker room just to torment him over his more feminine qualities. There was one boy that he did like though, one that always stood up for him and made the bullies back off. They would grow close throughout middle school until one day the boy tried to kiss him which surprised Alex so much he ran away. After that, Alex tried apologizing to his friend but wasn’t quite as open as he had been before. He became jumpy and nervous since that time and found it difficult to remain calm around others out of paranoia and fear that it would happen again. It got to the point that Alex was having a hard time simply being around boys his own age and once again gravitated towards girls, specifically his sisters though he didn’t breathe a word about his struggles. The last thing Alex wanted to do was make his sisters worry after all, he was supposed to protect them, not the other way around. High school wasn’t much better, if anything the teasing got worse to the point that Alex was chronically late to class in order to avoid getting bullied by the other boys. That was until he got his first girlfriend and the bullying at least lessened to a more bearable level. Unbeknownst to Alex, his girlfriend had blackmailed the bullies that had been plaguing him. After all this time dealing with bullies, he had never been happier, especially after he heard the news that he was going to gain yet another sibling. This didn’t last however as Alex’s girlfriend broke up with him and the teasing and bullying resumed once again. After he graduated, his parents surprised the family with a summer home in America, specifically Georgia. They could live there during the summer months when the girls didn’t have school and Alex would be able to attend college nearby if he wished. Alex was ecstatic and couldn't wait to leave, it would be a good way to get away from the bullies and other less than fond memories he had of school. The summer home was every bit as wonderful as Alex had imagined it would be, it was just like the manor back home except perhaps a little smaller but there was still plenty of room for everyone and the ocean wasn’t that far away even. When the event occurred, Alex was confused to say the least of things. Why would anyone want to grant him a wish in the first place, he had everything he wanted for starters. Though mostly due to the book he had been reading at the time, Alex wished that he knew what love was to which the deity just smiled and granted the wish, leaving Alex to wonder exactly what they meant. He certainly didn’t feel any different but…perhaps it would take time? The powers and familiar he was given didn’t make sense to him in the slightest but Alex simply took it in stride, he would figure it out in time…somehow. Insignia Level 1 Alex’s insignia is that of a blooming iris flower about the size of a baseball on his right shoulder. Water Mimicry - level 1 – Alex has the ability to literally become water but does not have very good control over it. Whenever he touches his insignia he may completely melt into a puddle or just have his hand or arm turn into water. Generally he uses this as a way to escape since he hasn’t been able to learn how to maintain his shape while he uses his power. He can stay water for up to five posts and has a limited range of movement while he is in this form depending on how much of him has turned into water. It is taxing to change to and from water so Alex is only able to use the power once per day or thread. Passive – Iris is a small hedgehog who acts more like a pet than anything. She adores any and all attention from whoever will give it to her no matter how much Alex might object. One of Iris’ favorite things to do is roll around in a ball and play hide and seek, usually at the most inconvenient times much to Alex’s disdain. Iris loves flowers of any kind and can often be seen rolling around in the blossoms in spring or playing in water. She tries to be helpful in taking care of the flowers she loves so much but is rather clumsy and ends up being more of a hindrance than anything else. Extra Alex likes any and all flowers and plants except for poison ivy for obvious reasons and the fact he fell into a patch when he was younger. He is deathly afraid of most insects, especially spiders and always has a can of Raid handy. Winter makes him depressed mainly because there are so few blooming flowers during that time. He is the oldest of eight siblings and has seven younger sisters, all of which he adores.
