The Factions
"What are they?"
There are three factions in game. These three factions bear the 'insignia' or have an 'insignia' that are attributed for the three gods. These factions do not start out that differently, but there are different perks to making which ones and coming into our verse with different characters. Note all the information here because it will help you in the future. Information will change in the future but there will be a announcement concerning it if one faction gets more powerful than another.
Factions are where a character starts. If your character does not have a reason to 'not' fit, then it will be brought up when someone makes an application. It is not possible for someone to have two insignias at once. You are one or one of the other two, you cannot be two or all three at once. Unless your character states that they are a certain faction, most people are clueless to that faction. Only the bringers know automatically.
All posts below have content about "Insignias//Wishes", "Gods", and "Power Struggle System/Karma System". Reading these threads will help you to understand if you don't already. |

The Neutral Faction
"What are they? & Who are they?"
Neutrals are pretty much the middle ground in this world. Neutral are simply anything from babies, school children, and housewives to blue collar workers and doctors. Neutrals are those who are under the blessings of Peace. The being of Peace is not an outwardly corrupt one but 'she' takes her job very seriously. If one continues to make trouble- she will cast you out. Neutrals are considered to be the wild cards as they can switch factions easier than an opposite faction switching to Neutral. Neutrals have no negative effects and usually are transported with their current lives and loved ones, plus one wish. These wishes are random so it could give you money or cure cancer to just giving you that meal you really wanted last week. "What do they do?"
Neutrals are the most populous faction. This is because they themselves are the starting point for Criminals and Lawmakers. Children grow up to be criminals or Police so they themselves are the feeding frenzy. Neutrals live their lives and are most often the part of the toybox that keeps everything going. If they show up, do their jobs, make friends, and live- more than likely they will get a visit from a Peacekeeper and they will get things that they really want. Neutrals are in no rush to turn 'evil' or 'good', but simply are there. They do not get many perks but they do get more prizes in the end from Peace. The Law from the three Gods favors them. "How to switch?"
While a Neutral can become a Criminal or a Lawmaker you have to make a good enough commitment to that cause to completely switch. For example if you steal a candy bar, you will not be suddenly called a Criminal. However it will put you in 'negative' and take away some of your karma from the gods. If you try to stop crime you will eventually become a Lawmaker after that time. If your character wishes to become a Lawmaker or Criminal, a being from one of the two factions will rebrand the person. Rebranding can hurt, but it is not permanent if they do not wish it to be. It's just harder to switch back. |

The Criminal Faction
"What are they? & Who are they?"
The Criminal Faction are really anyone who has broken laws quite a few many times. This could involve hacking for fun and graffiti to embezzling and murder. They would be considered the 'bad' or 'evil' side, though some are willing to work with the Law Faction to get them out of jail or win this game. They are considered worst of the worst and can be put into jail. While Chaos will eventually break them out, they more than likely will be familiar with jail and how it works. Criminals are usually fifteen and up and anyone younger is usually full of small crime. It's rare for Chaos to have brought in cold hard murderers who are too young. "What do they do?"
They in general break things, cause crime, and fight for Criminal Rights. Having the most laws against them in the Law of the three gods against them, they are hard pressed to usually do 'missions' or something of the sort in the faction. Chaos deems fit that if they play his games and get better at their craft they will get things that they wish. Usually when they were brought over here, their 'wish' that was granted was something to help them master their criminal craft. For example if one is a hacker, they might have gotten a brand new high tech computer. "What are the punishments?"
Your character will get caught. Your character might die. However both of these are not permanent. Depending on the power struggle and Chaos' own investment in your character, they will be revived or let free in the 'jailbreak' scenarios that are at the moment very common. Getting caught increases your relationship with Chaos which means when you are 'judged' you're more than likely going to be sent to jail for a limited amount of time. If you're trying to change your faction to Law however, it'll be a bit harsher and you might get something you wouldn't want. "How to switch?"
It's very hard to switch from Criminal to Law or vice versa. Criminals usually have to do good acts while combining doing literally no crime. Depending on how hard you work and how little you're tempted, it can take a month. Peace seems very pleased if Chaos seems a bit pissed about the arrangement. It will hurt for the insignia to be taken away. It's designed to hurt so you don't wish to change again. You can become a criminal once more- but be wary because Chaos will take this personally. |

The Law Faction
"What are they? & Who are they?"
The Law Faction is considered a hefty bunch. Lawyers, Police Officers, Military, Detectives, Forensic Technicians, you name it, it could possibly be in this faction. Of course this doesn't really outline all of them since those in those jobs could technically be Criminals. The Law Faction is guided by Order and plays directly against Chaos. Because of this, their main job is to capture criminals and keep everyone obeying the law. Their wishes are normally for vengeance or some type or boost in knowledge or physical capacity to catch criminals. "What do they do?"
The Law Faction are under the Law of Order. Commonly nicknamed Lawmakers, they are given many tasks as if they were in school and must complete them. For example if one was supposed to write up a summons or a search warrant, they would be given that task. Their other task is to obviously catch criminals. The point of Lawmakers are to make sure that the Law of the gods are followed along with the basic rules. However Order will request all kinds of things that they believe is necessary. "Catching Criminals?"
Obviously one of the biggest points to be a cop or a lawmaker is to stop chaos or breaking the law. It is fully possible to catch other characters in this case and jail them. Since jail is not permanent and often only lasts a short time due to Chaos influence, a law maker is able to catch multiple people. The more they do, the more points they gain for their faction but it also comes with benefits to them. "How to switch?"
Obviously those who follow the Law can become a Criminal or even a Neutral. While the transition to a Neutral is slightly easier and less painful they often find their wishes revoked. Order is not a kind god most of the time, and will intend to hurt people if they wish to turn Criminal. For a Law faction to become neutral or Criminal, they have to be negligent in their duties. |
