What a rough day. The same exact boys, over and over, just wouldn't get a hint. Always running around the classroom and tossing things around like it was some playground. Of course she had experienced these types of problems while substituting and such---but geez, these boys just wouldn't give in. No matter how long she made them sit on the bench while their classmates played outside. It was like they were purposely screwing with her. They were always faking illness, by holding their stomach and moping around the classroom like zombies until she finally said, "Go to the nurse." Or they would come in morning after morning with a bag of shredded paper, and a note that explained why their homework was completely ruined. "My dog got a hold of it," or "I left my backpack open and it fell out." Excuses, excuses. She couldn't stand them. All the other students were amazing---they listened to her, they did their work without any trouble at all. But that little cliché of boys. Oh she couldn't explain how much she hated their little screw-ups that were exactly meant to piss her off. Did every teacher have this kind of problem? Or had she ended up unlucky? Ah, it wasn't even worth thinking about. At least 80% of her students were appropriate and cooperative. Driving home and listening to music...it was relaxing for the most part. Except she had a crap ton of papers to grade throughout the weekend. And to think, as an elementary teacher, she would have less work to do than usual. Not at all, not at all. It was like being a middle school teacher. But becoming a 5th grade teacher wasn't exactly her choice. She had foolishly refused to say anything about wanting a certain class...and so here she was now. Avery allowed a gentle groan to leave her lips as the closest light suddenly became orange yet again. She stopped, threw her head back against the seat, and shut her eyes for a moment. "I'm so ready to collapse against that soft bed...and curl up in those sheets. Sleep, sleep, sleep..." She relaxed a hand against her hat, in which was sitting nicely on the center console beside her. With her eyes still closed, she began to run her fingers along the edges, while absorbing the familiar texture of the material in her mind. When suddenly, a loud, rushed beep rang out and reached her ears instantly. The girl jerked forward and opened her eyes wide, before immediately pushing on forward through the light. Almost home. Maybe if Adam was already there, she could talk to him a little before passing out on the bed. Something like that...but the one thing on her mind now was getting the hell home. No doing any work tonight---she'd get it done tomorrow maybe. If she was awake. She might be asleep all day tomorrow. Haha, No, not a chance. She needed to work. She'd look like a total idiot if she went back with absolutely nothing give to the students, or the administration. Oh, well, she was home anyways. Avery grabbed her bag and her large pile of papers, before yanking the keys away from the ignition and hobbling out of the car like some drunkie. It was a little late. It was a bit cold, too. And she felt like some newborn fawn. She sighed and lazily tossed her hat onto her head, before entering the building and tiredly making her way up to her and Adam's apartment. "Homeee..." She would groan as she pushed her way through the large door. Carefully, the girl would rest her bag onto the counter of their tiny kitchen, while sliding the pile of paperwork beside it. Then, she would pry her shoes away from her feet and set them neatly near the door. She didn't know if Adam was home or not...he could of stayed at work a little later than usual. Either way, whether he was there or not, she called to him like some baby animal crying out to it's mother. "Adaammmm...!" With that, she made her way into their room, collapsing over the side of the bed and groaning as her hat flew off her head. She wasn't even completely stretched out onto the bed. Half of her body was hanging over the edge, while the rest relaxed on the bedside. It was a little funny looking. But she was tired. And she wanted to wait for Adam. In a way, she was also to lazy to push herself up all the way. ooc. LOL. avery, you whale. | ► |
