Wind whispered through the branches as bright red eyes stared through the leaves. A small curved smile was on her lips as she easily meandered through the tree branches not unlike an animal. Akane was someone who always loved nature and everything about it. Animals, flowers, even some insects were alright in her book. Her fingers danced against the bark against her fingers as she gave a small smile. Strong, reliable- she liked oak trees. They were beautiful- and certainly strong. There were so many in America that she couldn’t ever get enough of it. She could climb them with ease- and she had taught Yukiko the ones that were strong and the ones that would break and send them crashing. While Akane had a better sense- she was glad Yukiko could sometimes join her. Eyes stared at the leaves that enclosed her- as her fingers moved to touch the edge of some of the leaves. She has to give the trees credit- they were rather strong and she admired it. No matter what wind, snow, or rain in the past fifty years hadn’t damaged the tree at all. How could she not admire such a task? Akane was simple minded sometimes, but she never did see people’s accomplishments of staying alive and living as trivial matters since many people did it. Each person had their own trials- they didn’t matter less than someone else’s. As she poked one of the leaves with her fingers- a gust of wind made her eyes close. The girl took a deep breath to smell the world around- though she was slightly startled when she heard something talking underneath of her. Was there someone there? It was a public place- a picnic type of area. Akane had trouble understanding what ‘picnic’ meant but she simply guessed and hoped she was right. She rolled easily and stealthily to have her knees on the branch and her hands holding onto the branch as well. She was lucky that the tree was used to much more abuse and she was light to make it work. She couldn’t see them through the branches and she frowned slightly. Was it Yukiko? No- it sounded male. Akane frowned deeply and gave a small roll of her shoulders as she quickly used the branches as a sort of staircase before landing in front of whoever it was- bending her knees to absorb the shock. She landed on all fours- and she grimaced a little as she stood. That really took some getting used to. Turning, she stared at the other person she was curious about to confirm that it was male and was not Yukiko. She raised her hand up to him to wave- giving a quiet “Good Morning” like all of those movies told her to do. They were supposed to be friendly right? Absently her red eyes looked down the paths to see if Yuki had come back- but there was no flash of red anywhere to tell her that her sister had returned. With that she returned her eyes towards the man. He didn’t…look like the camping type- was he with family or friends? She just kept her eyes on him for a moment before realizing she probably already made a bad impression from leaping out of the tree…but there was a larger part of her that didn’t care. “Have you seen…” There was a small pause as she lifted her hand to put her hand level at her shoulder. “A girl this high with red hair? She’s my sister.” While it was a bit choppy- she was inwardly proud that she could at least communicate in the hard language. Tag:@ Cecil Hyde

Cecil calmly walked through the outskirts of Sumner City, distracted as he placed his hands behind his head and pondered on several occurrences that took place that week. Apparently the girl he was seeing, whose name was escaping him at the moment, had found out that he was just not interested in her anymore and had thrown a fit in the middle of the college. While he could've probably handled it with a little more tact, he figured she just wasn't worth it considering the shrieking festival that was created out of nowhere, when he wanted to take it to a more private place. He quite simply didn't have the patience for spoiled little brats, plus he had already warned her that if she wanted something serious and long lasting, he wouldn't be the person for it. She was a very pretty girl, he'd give her that and it was why he was mildly interested the first day or two. But her personality was something he couldn't see past, along with the fact that it was definitely her looks that got her that far in life.
She had been chasing after him for two days straight, most likely just to either try and persuade him to come back to her, or to make another scene because he had been the one to leave her. He'd wager his small fortune on both though, knowing the aggravating girl. So with that in mind, he figured he'd stay away from the center and the area around it, choosing the outskirts so he'd be close enough to head back home if he really needed to. Thankfully though, she didn't know where he lived, the young man making sure his little affairs never saw the inside of his house as to avoid problems like those. Last thing he needed was for the neighbors to come out of their houses to check a banshee calling for him.
The small forest he passed by seemed to be a nice enough place to hang for the day, Cecil pondered as he passed by, deciding to take a look and see if it was safe and or pleasant enough. It didn't take him long to reach a quaint little picnic area, the young man finding it to be peaceful and well inhabited. It would be good enough he supposed, maybe he should even ask Tobias to bring something for them to eat and spend the rest of the day there? Not like he'd have anything to do unless stare into his computer's screen or something. He was such an odd fellow, but Cecil would never shun him away. He was just pure, unfiltered and the exact opposite of two-faced. He was actually, at times, too blunt and honest for his own good, but it was something the world needed more, the green-eyed teen thought. He sure as hell was a better person than he was, but everyone had their flaws, no one was perfect.
Taking out his smartphone, he tapped the screen a couple of times before placing it beside his ear, letting it ring as he walked towards an oak tree. He wondered what took him so long to pick up as he sat underneath it, resting his elbow upon his knee. With a cheery salutation on the other hand, Cecil snorted and replied, "Hey, brainiac. Listen, I figured I needed to stay away from that area to avoid "whatsherface". The guys told me she's looking all over town for me or something, so I came to a park just on the edge of the city. Figured you could just grab whatever you could from the cabinets and the fridge and meet me here for a picnic or something. It's nice and quiet. You down for it?" From the other end, his friend seemed to agree and after a minute or two of explaining how to get there, the young brunet snorted when he heard Tobias mention something about repellent, replying amused, "Alright dude, bring whatever you want. Cya ya soon," before ending the call.
As he did so though, he suddenly found himself staring at a girl that had apparently dropped from the sky, or at the very least the tree in which he was sat underneath and leaned against. He was more confused than startled really, blinking a couple of times before he just replied to her greeting a bit unsure of what to make of that, "Huh... Good morning...", blinking a couple of more times before coming to his senses. Shaking his head, he regained his usual composure and commented calmly with a smirk, "Bit early for pretty girls to be raining down from the sky, wouldn't you say?", only to chuckle and shake his head. She didn't look half bad. Raven-black hair, odd yet alluring red eyes, apparently fit body... Not bad at all.
He raised an eyebrow at her question, before looking around momentarily and ending up shrugging, replying to her, "Can't say I have. Why? You got separated from her? Is she lost or are you lost?", he eyed her before continuing, "You seem to speak English perfectly fine, but you do have a slight accent. I assume you're not from these parts?" he smiled to her, resting his cheek upon his fist. He was being nice and all, her speech choppy but surprisingly understandable for one. "Name's Cecil, by the way. You got a name, tree climbing girl?", he asked her with a slight chuckle, figuring she wouldn't want to be known as that, before stretching a tad and adding, "And I'm currently free, so if you want some help looking for your sister, I don't mind lending you a hand," figuring he might as well help her if she needed it. She seemed interesting at least, plus it would help with the boredom of waiting alone for Tobias to get there, as it would most likely take him a while.

Akane heard the man talking- but she wasn’t sure who to. She tried to turn her attention elsewhere so she didn’t eavesdrop. It was rude, she knew. She believed that it would be better if she tried to focus on something for the time being, but found she was more interested in the voice. She really only tuned in as he was hanging up- leaving her slightly unsatisfied in wondering where the man was from. He didn’t have a thick accent- so it was easier to understand- but she felt a bit…as if she shouldn’t ask where he was from. Many people grew offended, so she tried not to use it. When she did leap down- he only seemed to stare at her for a moment- and she gave him a rather confused look. Girls did not rain from the sky. Rain came from the sky. She actually looked above her- seeing the blue through the leaves and she was left not sure what to think about that statement. “Humans do not rain from the sky.” Akane commented quietly- completely missing the point of the comment or the undertone of the whole statement at all. It must be some saying of some sort that was common to the region. Such a strange statement but she was going to ignore that- she needed to find Yuki. “Neither of us are lost, sir.” She blinked a little not sure what to think about the next few comments. “I just want to find her.” It was true- she didn’t doubt that Yukiko could survive on her own for a week if she wanted to in the wild. Both of them were rather capable in that sense- but she just wanted to be next to her sister so they could talk or something. “I am Akane.” It was strangely phrased, but she wasn’t aware. Also she had to remind herself to use ‘Akane’ instead of ‘Suzuki’ when introducing herself. “I am an exchange student from Japan.” She almost used her native term for ‘Japan’, but reminded herself it wasn’t native in America. Cecil was going to be hard for her to say- but she hoped she wouldn’t butcher it too badly. “If you would not mind Cecil-sir.” The female reached up to adjust her hat- tilting it up just a bit so she could see him a bit better. The sun was bright- but thankfully she was a bit used to it considering she had been outside for the past hour or so. She didn’t butcher ‘Cecil’ as much as she thought she was going to so she counted that as an accomplishment. Well he was offering her help but she wasn’t sure Yuki would approve. She didn’t know this man…she didn’t really trust him…but he didn’t exactly look dangerous. If he was dangerous, she needed to keep an eye on him- so Yuki wouldn’t be hurt. Narrowing her eyes a little before she fell back to the blank look she started to walk towards where she had seen Yuki last. “Are you visiting someone out here Cecil-sir?” It was a mix of habit of ‘-san’ and just the respectful tone she had grown up with. Maybe she could get something out of him before she got to fully know him. Tag:@ Cecil Hyde

"Errr... What?...", he blinked confused at her quiet comment, unsure if he heard accurately since she also had a slight accent it seemed. Did she say something "didn't rain from the sky"?... Had she missed his comment entirely? She didn't seem to react to his compliment... Well, he figured she had just missed it and thought he said something else. He'd get back up on it eventually, he knew it. This was his game after all, he was a little heartbreaker. It almost always came out as if a automatic reaction really. He had long since forgotten why he acted the way he did, but it seemed to satisfy him at least? He didn't sought all the pleasures of the world, but he did want to live a life he could say was lived without having regrets and enjoying it entirely. It was just how he was, he supposed. Besides... He didn't exactly want to grow up as he knew what was inevitably awaiting him. So he'd try to make the best with the time he had left.
The "sir" made him deadpan slightly, but he reminded himself that she was foreigner. He figured she was being respectful, or something of the kind? He wasn't sure, but he should probably let her know that that was reserved for older people, not teenagers and some would undoubtedly make fun of her for it. "Ah... Well...", what's with her though, being able to leave him offhanded with such ease in her replies?... It was actually troublesome really. He wasn't used to it, nor was he used to dealing with foreigners that... Apparently were like her? He figured he just needed to kick himself in gear, clearing his throat and gathering himself. "Well, if you two aren't lost I'm sure you'll eventually find her. Don't worry, he nodded and gave her a reassuring and confident smile. How hard could it be to find one person in a small park like that? Hell, even in the surrounding area it would most likely not be that hard.
"Oh, Akane? It's a pretty and interesting name," he smirked slightly as he pushed himself up, dusting his pants from the blades of grass and any possible dirt that might've latch onto him while he had been seated. He blinked slightly when he looked at her though, only to ponder on something that she had said. An exchange student from japan?... Was she the girl he had heard of that had recently enrolled in his college? People had a tendency to talk a lot there, so he'd eventually hear pretty much everything that happened in campus and student-wise. He figured that could wait, storing it for future use if there was any awkward silence, or something of the kind. "Well, welcome to America, Akane. Hope you like it here," he smiled to her politely.
"Nah, it's all good. I got time to burn-...", he stopped talking when she addressed him by "Cecil-sir", deadpanning ever so slightly. He quickly reminded himself that she was japanese though, so he figured it was that whole deal of adding "sans" and all that after the name. What was that called again? He didn't really care enough to remember it though. "Just call me Cecil, no need to use "sir" or anything. It's fine,", he walked beside her, missing the look she gave him entirely.
Placing a hand on his hip and another upon the back of his neck to rub at it, he wondered where her sister could be, pondering if there was a police station or something of the kind nearby if they couldn't find her at the park. Until then though, he'd just tag along with her and give her another pair of eyes to look around. To her question, he just shrugged slightly and responded, "Nah. I called a friend to come over here since I figured he'd enjoy some time out of our house... He spends way too much time on the computer, so I thought some fresh air would do that egghead some good," he snorted and chuckled, shaking his head.
After a quick look around, he didn't seem to find any traces of the girl they were looking for, so he turned to her with a calm smile and asked, "Well... Should we start walking around and see if we can find her? Or do you have any clues where she might've headed off?", figuring they should start somewhere.

Hearing his comment of ‘what’ left her rather confused. Well she did just mention humans did not rain from the sky- he must not be used to people disagreeing with him. Strange- did people from America feel like people rained from the sky? Distantly the red-eyed girl looked towards the sky- wondering if this man still believed the crane story most often told. Strange- he was old enough to look otherwise but she would not trample on his beliefs. If he believed that humans rained from the sky- she wouldn’t comment on the logical argument that people would be quite dead hitting the ground. “I do not doubt I will find my sister. It shall take a mode of time.” She murmured. Her stance was rather tense- but almost like a predator just stalking its prey. Loose enough to move- but tense enough to leap and bite at the chance. She wasn’t sure if he was going to join her or not- but either way she wasn’t worried about her- mostly her sister. Her sister was a survivalist- in fact Yuki herself was more of the kind to want to live outside despite her love for comfy beds. “Akane would be translated to deep red.” She remembered translating the meaning into English a long time ago- so it wasn’t that unfamiliar territory. Akane assumed the man was simply making small talk and his mention of ‘pretty’ was once again missed. Her and her sister’s names were a rarity so she didn’t mind explaining them to different people. “America is beautiful.” The female murmured. “ I do wish to see more of it in the future.” It had a dual toned meaning. Most people were fiercely patriotic but also a mention of their current predicament. America was great- the barrier not so much. “I apologize.” She mumbled- though she was hardly apologetic. She didn’t understand America’s free and easy terms. Here one could simply call someone else by their first name without honorifics and it was just the same as respectful and disrespectful. “It is habit. It is considered rude in Japan. I have not fully grown out of it.” She would never. He was so loose and fluid in his movements. Confidence brimmed from him like some tall smokestack. It was strange to see- and she felt awkward around such a man. Akane didn’t respond to his next statement- and only responded to the look he gave her with a small smile. She didn’t return it- but her face really didn’t show too much emotion when she tried. “She more than likely is in one of the trees she showed me. Her cat will show up when we get closer.” The cat being her familiar- but she wasn’t going to say this to the man bluntly. “Thank you Cecil for pursuing her with me. I am familiar with the area but it is quite an interesting trip with two.” There was no point to the statement- she mostly said it absently to keep the conversation going. Tag:@ Cecil Hyde
