Ignis was sitting upon a table in the food court, his feet upon the chair where he was supposed to sit like a normal person. Amber eyes surveyed the area around him, an utterly uninterested and bored look written upon his face as he found odd how some people were actually able to go on with their lives not the least bit concerned with the current situation. Weren't they aware of what was going on? Did the fact that they were now in some twisted little toybox not bother them at all? The gang leader was bothered by it immensely and he was the definition of unphased... He guessed it was just how some people copped with it. While some rebelled and caused trouble in hopes of drawing the attention of these "entities" in hopes of gaining something, others just went on with their lives as normally as they possibly could to escape the truth. The young man guessed both ways had their benefits and disadvantages.
"Buuuuh, Ignis~. I want to do something fuuuunnnn. This is boring, these people are boring.", a sultry voice reached the young man's ears as he took the straw from his strawberry milkshake into his mouth, prompting Ignis to sigh calmly in annoyance. The fire spirit manifested herself, a seemingly incomplete women-figure whose silhouette seemed to mimick a flame in aspect, movement and constitution. She sat with her back against him, making her usual troublesome sounds. "You're more than welcome to disappear then... Echidna," he commented with his usual nonchalant tone, an eye peaking from above his shoulder at her. Of course she'd react childishly, pouting and huffing while she replied in a whiny tone, "But Iiiigniiiis~. I thought you enjoyed my company. Not many are so lucky to have familiars like me. A hot and fiery minx, willing to make her master happy~," she commented, phasing her head through his body to poke out of his chest, giving him a look as she took the straw into her mouth after guiding it with her tongue.
"They're luckier than you think...", he commented blankly as he moved his beverage away from her, prompting the childish spirit to return to her previous position and cross her arms in an immature manner, pouting that her comments were so easily ignored. "So cold Ignis~♥. If you weren't so good looking, I'd leave you, I'll have you know. Hmph!", she continued to pout and whine, but all she earned was a calm sigh and the sound of him slurping slightly.
His eyes narrowed a tad though as he saw a small group of thugs pass by, no more than three, eyeballing him and commenting on the gang leader. With his group still missing, their territory was still up for grabs and these newly created groups from remnants of other groups from the normal world seemed to be moving in on others'. They were weak and disorganized, but they could still cause trouble. They didn't neglect the gang leader's presence though, actually beginning to move towards him, their stride confident as they placed their hands upon their pockets. Were they trying to be intimidating? Ignis would laugh at that if he actually could. Placing the milkshake next to him upon the table, he pushed himself off and faced the small group, eyes narrowing menacingly as he clenched one of his fists, the sound of cracking knuckles echoing in the area directly around Ignis. This prompted the three to stop in their tracks.
Whispering among them, they seemed to be pondering if it was worth starting anything with the other, opting to just leave him be as he "wasn't worth the trouble". Cowards, the whole lot of them. But he supposed he was better off not being troubled, as it was never pretty when he let his anger do the talking. Echidna seemed to be entertained by this at least, laughing and leaning against Ignis as usual, commenting to him, "Huuuuu~♥. You're so cool when you're scary~. This is why I can't just leave you~," she continued swooning over her master, though he paid no attention. Amber eyes were still locked on the group, just having a feeling that they'd cause trouble shortly. He could feel it, they fit the type and there wasn't anything in the world he hated more than cowardly punks.

Mina couldn’t exactly say that she was enjoying herself in the city but it wasn’t…terrible-bad or something. She did prefer Georgetown- but she certainly didn’t…hate Sumner City. The high school was a bit of a stretch- she made some friends and enemies…but nothing was actually too far off the map? The mall however was much bigger than the streets in Georgetown. Store after store! She didn’t even have enough money to dream about more than less spend things on things she didn’t need! However it was the only place to get some decent school supplies. She had several notebooks tucked into her car- with pencils, pens, and a book bag. She hated actually going through everything- but hey, bargain was a bargain. Finally she had found herself in the food area. Smells tempted her- but looking at the prices it made her mind hiss. She had a budget! She wasn’t as bad as Connor was! She could remember her balances! Inwardly sighing when a rather delicious smell of pizza hit her nose- she almost whined. Mina let her hang a little as she adjusted her bag on her shoulder. The annoyingly garish bright orange bag was a walking neon sign. She however liked bright annoying colors. It was a simple messenger bag however but one that she carried everywhere she went. It was practically an extension of her. Finally browsing around- she just got a simple water and straw- she finally tried to find a table so she could sit down and rest her behind. Maybe call someone and see if they wanted to run around with her. Who knows? She was bored out of her mind now that she was mostly done with her shopping. There was nothing to go home to- but there was nothing actually to go out and do. It was boring! She wished Connor was there! They could do all kinds of adventures! Her green eyes squinted at her water bottle- not recognizing the label on it as she walked clumsily towards the food court. She yipped a little when she bumped into someone- and she quickly took two steps back- shaking her head. She looked up a bit surprised- stunned a little that she had stupidly walked into these scary looking guys- but they were probably nice! “Oh hey! Sorry about that! I seriously couldn’t see you!” Mina laughed a bit awkwardly- but she only gave a cheery smile. She blinked a little when one said she couldn’t apologize like ‘that’. What was ‘that’ and why was it wrong? Her nose wrinkled slightly as the very suggestive statements went right over her head. Date? Why would she date this guy? Sure he might be nice- but she wasn’t that easy! “…Uh…why would I go on a date with you?” She asked a bit confused- oblivious to what they were saying. “Just...bumped into you guys. Not love at first sight type of girl.” Mina gave a slight grin and quickly danced past them- hoping to avoid these now really creepy guys. She was practically backing up into a certain red haired man as she let out another nervous laugh and hoped they would just leave her alone and stop trying to grab at her….it was weird. Amber eyes continued to survey these hooligans, knowing the type and already expecting something unpleasant to occur as there was no way they would keep to themselves like Ignis and his crew. It was because of these type of gang members that gangs had a bad rep. "Igniiiisssss~. Who cares what some worms are up to! Pay attention to meeeee," Echidna continued to latch onto him, but the young man was preoccupied with those three. And with good reason, because the minute a girl, nor more than sixteen or eighteen he'd surmise, stepped into the picture, he knew he was right to suspect trouble was brewing. A glance around him showed no one was interested in the three, or most likely ignoring them so as to not be pulled into trouble. Cowards, the lot of them. As the scene progressed, it was obvious the girl needed some assistance. Ignis had already pushed himself off the table once more, placing his hands inside the pockets of his black hooded-jacket, Echidna flopping onto the table as she didn't have his support anymore. "Hmph!... How heartless...", the spirit pouted as she rested her chin upon her palm, only to fade away like a candle being put out.
Stopping just a few feet from the encounter, he found himself being bumped into the girl that had been backing off from the three, not even flinching or budging though, standing his ground as his amber eyes were locked on the three. The thugs in question stopped, glaring menacingly, or at least attempting to appear as such, at the young man that had stepped in to interrupt their little game. "Think the girl isn't interested in you three...", he commented nonchalantly as he took out his cigarette pack, flicking it to have one pop out which found itself being taken into his mouth. "How about you guys go back to walking away, hmm? Before you get hurt," he patted his pockets, calmly looking for his lighter as if casually just out for a smoke. He wasn't interested in this ordeal or teaching them a lesson, but not like he could just idly stand by and watch like a coward as she was bothered by them.
"You guys listenin' to this prick? Thinks he can be a freakin' knight in shiny panties! Hey, how about you walk away before you, get hurt, hmm? Get goin' then fuc-", the shortest of them had stepped up to tap Ignis in the chest as he was seemingly busy looking for something, only to be interrupted by a swift straight right that pushed him back onto the other two. The girl had been moved to the side in the process, gently so as to not have her tumble. Sighing heavily, the man stared with a king's disposition, straightening himself as he replied, "Guess I haven't got a choice... Tch, troublesome," shaking his head and calmly staring down upon the smaller one. He had scrambled up, clenching his face as the blow apparently was strong enough to break his nose, crimson flowing down from it. Shouting, he ordered the other two to "rough him up", prompting the two larger thugs to charge in at Ignis.
One lead with a right hook, the other a right kick right after. Ignis deflected the punch with his left forearm, positioning himself to the right so as to grasp and yank his attacker by his arm, which placed him in trajectory of the kick. Cursing from receiving his companion's blow, the first one then found himself to be punched in the stomach by Ignis and shoved against the second one that toppled over with him. Unable to breath correctly and drooling, the one that received both blows was unable to get up, remaining on top of the other that was attempting to push him off. Ignis looked down upon them with a raised eyebrow, cigarette being gripped with his teeth as he addressed them, looking between the three, "I warned you...", before going back to his search.
The shorter one pushed himself up, insulting Ignis and shouting nonsense as he pushed himself up. Suddenly, a butterfly knife was produced from his back pocket, flickering in a ray of silver as the blade was brought out through a series of movements from his hand. "HAHAHAHA! NOT SO TOUGH NOW ARE YA?! I'LL SLICE AND DICE YA A NEW ONE!", he laughed as he began to step towards Ignis, who had narrowed his eyes at the other, readying himself to take on the armed foe but taking care with the other two at the side that had begun to help themselves up. "Echidna...", he calmly mumbled, his eyes beginning to glow of a faint red color. He wasn't going to take any chances with this guy.
"HEY YOU FOUR! STOP RIGHT THERE!", a voice echoed through the area along the sound of several people running towards them. Ignis remained with his eyes on the thug though, watching as he cursed that the "pigs" were there. With the same intricate movements of his hand, he stored the blade and the knife back in its rightful place, only to gesture for the other two to go ahead with his head. "This ain' over, ya hear?! Ya got lucky! Cut ya later fucker!", he screamed at Ignis, before he ran away in the same direction as the other two.
Eyes returning to normal, Ignis sighed as he heard security getting closer and closer, knowing what would happen, the same thing as always really. He snapped his fingers against the end of the cigarette, a few sparks being released and igniting the tip of the cigarette, having forgotten momentarily he could do that now. He was still getting use to this whole "insignia" thing. Taking a drag and exhaling to the side, he finally looked over to the girl with a raised eyebrow, his demeanor calm and nonchalant as always, questioning her, "You alright?...", as security circled him and pulled the girl back. "HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!", two of them shouted at Ignis, prompting him to sigh, a small cloud of smoke escaping his lips. That girl was troublesome it seemed. Now to go through the hassle of explaining himself to them. He hated authority almost as much as thugs... Almost.

Mina was a bit oblivious- and she stayed oblivious. However she knew the crawling under her skin and feeling in her stomach wasn’t to be ignored. Her mother had called it ‘discernment’ but she just called it bad juju or whatever she thought of at the time. It wasn’t exactly her best trait- but she did trust her gut at least. She kept backing away from them- feeling like she might use that weird insignia. Maybe she could startle them or something? She yipped again when she felt her back hit something hard. It only took a half of a second for her to look up. Above her- in fact he looked like a giant from this angle – was a man. Not exactly a smart first thought- but she couldn’t really care. Bright red hair and a cigarette- he looked like bad-boy material. Hearing his words- she inwardly thanked gods above that there was a really nice guy who knew how to handle these people. She almost yelped as he moved her to the side as if she was a simple chair. That didn’t help her ego- but she was a bit too stunned by all of this- the city was ridiculous! Knight in shiny panties- what? Her nose wrinkled at the thought- before she almost skittered over the table like a spooked cat. “Oh hey! Hey! No fighting dudes!” She squawked- waving her hands a little. What the heck?! Why were these guys fighting?! “Dudes!” She tried to intervene but she saw the knife- and to her credit, she didn’t stupidly jump in. She however was wide eyed at the weapon. She had never seen someone want to hurt someone so much before. In her panic- or rather shock- she took a breath- ready to scream and unleash her own insignia- but the man stepped in her way- blocking her view. What was with these city people?! Did you just break out into freaking fighting? Where was her brother?! He would know what to do- The next things happened so fast- she shrieked loudly when someone grabbed her and she stomped on his foot and jerked her head back to head butt him in his chin. Her hands went in front of her in some form of protection before she realized this was security. Ohcrapohdoodledandy- “Oh god I’m so sorry! You scared me!” She babbled to the man- before waving her hands wildly at the other two. “Guys! You got it wrong! That guy saved me- he looks like terrifying- but he’s really nice! Those guys who ran out of here had knives! He protected me!” She quickly babbled shaking her hands in a wide display of visual gestures that made little to no sense. “He’s really nice!” She tried to convince them- trying to shoo away their hands like a mother shooing small children out of the kitchen- which they reluctantly did. Mina turned to the guy she had slammed against with almost panicked eyes. “I’m so sorry- you scared me – he had a knife- oh are you okay?” The man only laughed a little and shook his hand though he was holding his chin rather tightly. “Please go after those guys- they are like totally unsafe- I’ll take care of my guy here!” They nodded- quickly lulled by her…well more innocent appearance compared to big-bad-and smoking over there- quickly moving away. She sighed almost gratefully when they were gone- before looking up to the man. “Are you okay Mister? Thanks for helping me out! I didn’t know what I would do! City folks just…are surprising!” Surprising wasn’t the word she was looking for but whatever. “My name is Mina Logan, what’s yours?” Might as well introduce herself to her saving grace here. "I'm sorry that I probably interrupted your lunch!" She tried to give him a sheepish grin- apparently or oblivious to the fact that he could very well handle himself and it wasn't probably a problem for him. Tag:@ Ignatius Cross

This girl was clearly not used to dealing with punks from the street. From the her looks to her personality, she seemed like an average teenager, possibly spoiled or at the very least too used to a peaceful environment. Was she really telling them to stop? Didn't she saw what was happening? Thank god they were too stupid to attack her, but then he'd make sure they'd be at the very least leaving in an ambulance with severe burns. The thought delighted Echidna, but she'd have to settle for him doing a good deed. They didn't come by often, but it wasn't like he was abducting people and demanding a ransom for them.
The arrival of the guards was met with indifference really, the young man nonchalantly smoking his cigarette and acting as if he didn't even notice them. Mall cops? They weren't even worth his time that he'd have to use explaining what happened. Ignis disliked all matters of authority, cops simply bothersome bastards that only brought him trouble, never aiding him in the slightest. Plus, as a gang leader it was often the times that he had to deal with them and needless to say his position only earned him scorn, disbelief and belittling. They didn't know jack what transpired, nor cared, just coming in guns blazing and pointing fingers, holding everyone accountable when at times the issue hadn't been caused by him or any of his own. But they didn't care. Some of them even received bribes under the table. He hated them even more knowing that. After a certain event involving them being locked up on account of a dirty cop bribed to arrest his gang so a rival one could trash their bar and steal as much alcohol as they could carry. Never again and both them and the cop paid for that little ordeal.
He had to give the girl props though, she hit one of them and didn't even had to do much for it other than apologize. A smirks escaped the corner of his lips at that, before he returned to his normal demeanor, staring out at front where the goons had escaped as if trying to see a couple of steps ahead. He wondered if they'd be waiting for them outside, most likely calling a couple of their friends to make things more even. Leaning towards their side of course. They fit the profile, cowards.
Watching the hyperactive sprite convince them he was okay was also amusing, but Ignis didn't really care, figuring that would work considering she looked all cute and innocent doing that. Hell the guy she headbutted or whatever was amused by her. They were in the clear, he knew it, so why even bother? Besides, he wasn't a nice guy. He was a gang leader after all, but it was still a nice change from the usual finger pointing at him. And there they went, fully convinced by this random teenager. And he was left alone with her... Shouldn't they escort her to their office for questioning or something? He didn't want to deal with anyone as spirited as her. She was troublesome, he could smell it a mile away. Not to mention that she seemed to be the kind to talk nonstop, which was annoying. His patience was really limited, but he'd never hurt her or anything.
She talked and thanked him, but he didn't seem all that interested in being recognized for his good deed, simply rubbing the back of his head as she continued yapping. When she was done though and introduced herself, he finally turned his gaze to her, as if at last acknowledging her presence. Exhaling smoke to the side and taking his cigarette between two fingers, he flicked the ash upon the floor with little care before he placed it back in the corner of his mouth and replied, "Wasn't eating... And it's fine," only to place his hands inside the pockets of his jacket and turning to face her, amber eyes upon her.
She was a strange girl, especially her hair now that she took a better look at her. He then remembered her introducing herself, as if taking a bit to process that due to his disinterest. Mina was it? Cute name he supposed. "Ignis... Nice to meet you I guess," he rubbed the back of his head, wondering what he was supposed to do now, only to look at her again.
Well... This was awkward... Was he stuck babysitting this girl? It wasn't like the mall cops were going to be back for her, they didn't care and were most likely chasing ghosts all over the damned mall when they were probably already miles away. But he sure as hell wasn't going to take care of her. She was old enough to fend for herself. His job was done, the thugs were gone and there was nothing left to do. Not like he was interested in being hailed as a hero or anything of the kind. No one cared and she'd be no different, no matter how innocent or nice she seemed to be. People were people. So with a slight wave of his hand as he turned and placed his hand back inside his pocket he voiced out absently, "Well... Cya," only to start walking away as if nothing happened. He still needed to find any member of his gang and Rachel was still missing... He hoped he would find her soon.

The man was pretty tall- bright red hair too. Though hair color rarely bothered her since her weird colors. Mina had to dye her hair quite a bit- but remarkably it usually was hardier than her. Pulling her bright orange bag a bit closer to her- she realized she had to tilt her head pretty drastically to see all of him. It was a bit…strange to say the least. He was super tall. His clothes were…dark to say the least. Her nose didn’t wrinkle but she did feel like she suddenly ran into someone who could actually handle himself and her brother would be waving at him frantically to go away. Welp, she believed that everyone was nice! She wasn’t going to even go there! Giving him a bright grin she rolled onto her toes then back to her heels. So this was one of those big bads that were all over the city! He wasn’t the nicest looking- but he saved her when those guys were around! He was probably just a big softy with a barbed wire outside! Maybe she could make a new friend! She wasn’t sure if the guys were going to come back- but usually they cared more about the guys with the weapons. They were mall cops- not exactly normal ones. “Oh?” She looked over to the table she guessed he was at and in fact, did not see any food. Pity, she thought she could steal some food from him. “Still, didn’t meant to bother you! I had just finished shopping for some stuff. Those guys really were pushy! Thanks for that, dude!” She gave him a small laugh- her green eyes sparkling a little. He was a smoker but as long as he didn’t breathe the smoke in her face he probably was still again- a nice guy. Ignis? That was a weird name. Like super weird. Must be a city thing. “Nice to meet you Ignis!” Mina chirped before squawking a little and quickly darting in front of him as he turned around. “Don’t you know I’m trying to thank you correctly?” She stared at him a little petulantly. “Those guys were scary- so I should get you something- so do you actually want to eat food, Mr. Big Bad Wolf?” With that she put her hands on her hips and leaned forward a little. She was trying to act adamant and forceful but to be honest she wasn’t intimidating enough for such a feat. As her brother teased her- she was just a walking strawberry. "You saved me- so you're a nice guy!" She said it as if she was completely one hundred percent sold in this. Hopefully no one tried to talk her out of this. Tag:@ Ignatius Cross

"Don't mention it and they should leave you alone now,"Ignis replied calmly as he kept going, figuring he was done with this ordeal. She should be fine by now, especially since he was leaving and he was almost certain they'd be waiting for him instead of her. Regardless, he had done his part and they wouldn't pull that stunt in a crowded street, he figured.
"Huh~♥, Igniiiiissssss~♥. The way you took out those worms~... You really know how to rile. Me. Up~♥," the familiar's sultry voice echoed through his mind, prompting the young man to sigh calmly in annoyance. Would she ever stop with those ridiculous comments? They were annoying to say the least, serving only to exasperate Ignis. He ignored her as he continued to walk unhindered by it, only to once more hear her, only this time she had a very childish tone, complaining with a pout, "Heeeeeey! Don't ignore me Igniiiisssssss. Hmph! What? Am I not your type or something? Would you rather have tomato-head girl there instead of me? Didn't know that was your thing! HMPH!", only for her presence to leave his mind, most likely to sulk and pout as she usually did whenever he ignored her. He just didn't feel like dealing with her, annoyed by this whole situation as he just wanted to remain calm and look for his gang. Now he would have to just deal with being grumpy all day.
Exhaling smoke to the side, he caught a glimpse of something run past him through the opposite one, only to witness the small girl place herself in front of him. He calmly raised an eyebrow as he looked at her, still gripping his cigarette with his teeth, wondering what she wanted now since there was nothing else to discuss. She was fairly small in stature... He had to look quite a bit down to stare her in the eye... But what was the whole "strawberry-look" she was pulling? It was strange, but to be honest she didn't seem like your average teenager, especially considering how she handled those three punks. She seemed to be too kind and lenient. If she wasn't careful, this world would most likely gobble her up and spit out that neon orange bag of hers. It was just how things worked. He was there this time, but she couldn't rely on him just magically appearing to be her knight in shiny armor again. But not like that bothered him or he cared that much, since she wasn't one of his.
So... Wasn't saying "thank you" the correct way to thank someone? He could only shrug at her question, replying back, "Don't want money if that's what you're saying... It's fine," taking his hand out of the pocket of his jacket, he scratched the side of his cheek absently. Her reasoning didn't change his stance over it, making him look at her with his usual gaze that held a mix of boredom and indifference. And no, her attempt to actual seem forceful did not help her in the slightest, as it was met with disregard. It would probably be seen as "cute" to others though, he figured. "... "Big bad wolf"?...", he repeated her words, wondering what the hell she meant by that before he continued, "Like I said... It's fine, I don't need anything and you don't need to give me anything, so... ", he dropped the sentence there, figuring that that was, once again, enough for her.
Her comment made him blink slightly at her though, stopping him from continuing with his stride. Nice guy? Ignis? Was she delusional or something?... She was misguided wasn't she? He couldn't help but let out a faint snort, though his facial expression remained the same as he looked at her, replying, "Nice guy... Sure." he guessed it was somewhat pleasant to hear that though. Usually, only the people from his gang thought that, even if it was rare; but it was still wrong as he wasn't a nice guy at all. So continuing to walk, he passed by her calmly, commenting absently, "Just be more careful. Doubt there are "nice guys" every time you run into trouble, strawberry-girl." He shook his head as he walked. He guessed she was more amusing than he thought at first with her delusions.

She wasn’t sure what the man fell into. He didn’t seem like a brooding guy- but he didn’t seem like a super violent guy either. She wasn’t sure whether to quote scripture or try her best impersonation of a biker. Both would probably be too much- but he was too much and literally nothing at all in one packaged body. Her bright red eyes were mirrors of endless curiosity. While one might sigh at such a feat- she was glad that he didn’t seem irritated at her. He just seemed…bored. Which was strange. She wasn’t boring. She was the most interesting thing here after all! Tucking the bottle off the table where she had it placed into her bag- gave her enough time to listen to him. There was a cross pout on her childish lips as she gave a small huff at the redhead. “Money? I don’t want to give you money. I wanted to thank you. It’s part of my code! My ninja way!” With a dramatic flourish she threw her both of her arms to the side as she bowed. “It is part of my code! To learn and know about good guys!” Her head snapped up as she reached to yank her goggles down over her nose- the orange tinted lenses doing nothing to mute her vision except turn it a blindingly happy orange. “Yeahhh! Big bad wolf!” She stood up to her full height- putting her pale hands on her hips again. “Like the story- but like a good guy- so like something pretty cool.” She pouted as he continued dismissing her. Just because she was small- was stupid. She was a great person! “If you don’t want food- you have to at least let me get to know you. I’m awesome too! Look at these goggles!” She pointed to her face as if it was obvious. Afterwards though she stuck out her tongue slightly as he passed her. “Ugh, you’re one of those tough cookies aren’t you?” She pouted as she trotted after him- clutching her bag tightly. “Strawberry-girl?” Mina gave a small pout- but it turned into a grin. “Hey you already named me! That means you have to get to know me better until I can give a nickname to you!” This was a foolproof plan! A very amazing plan that not even Bond could see flaws in. Tag:@ Ignatius Cross

While perhaps endearing in a way, considering her seemingly energetic personality, Ignis did not by any means wish to make a big deal out of this ordeal. It wasn't like it mattered really, did it? The whole "I need to thank you bit". While no one would probably go out of their way to help her from the looks of things, he just didn't enjoy the attention for something any damned decent person should do. But she was apparently hellbent on thanking him, which he didn't want to deal with and was trying to move along so they could both go about their own business. He had to give it to her though, he didn't pegged her for someone that would actually go through the trouble of dealing with his dismissal of her gratitude - ... No, actually it would be expected of someone like her. Nevertheless, he supposed she had manners. Well he didn't, in the slightest.
He could only raise an eyebrow calmly when she made that rather silly statement. Ninja way? How old was this kid anyways? She seemed old enough to have long since stopped playing "ninjas". Either that or too many cartoons. She seemed to be the kind to indulge in them he supposed. "Mmhmm... Well guess you better continue looking for them," he commented absently as he placed his hands inside the pockets of his jacket, shifting the cigarette in his mouth from one side to the other before he added, "Ain't what you're looking for." Ignis stared blankly at her when she put on those ridiculous goggles. They were odd really, but he supposed they fit her. After all, she was just as odd.
"Hmph...", was the only reply to her incoherent babbling about a big bad wolf that wasn't bad but cool. That made absolutely no sense but he didn't put much effort in trying to decipher whatever she was trying to say. He guessed he could be considered a "big bad wolf", although some would argue that he was much more akin to a lion, especially considering how he seemed to style his hair. Regardless, as a thug he supposed it was a good thing to be seen as such, taking it as a compliment but not complimenting her back or anything of the sort. He was sure she didn't need it coming from him, he assumed. "You don't want to get to know me kid. Nothing good is coming out of that," he commented absently as he continued to walk, ignoring her childish gesture.
Persistant as always wasn't she? He wondered if she was going to follow him home like a stray pup, finding it troublesome as he was sure she'd eventually just lose herself and he'd end up taking her home. She had "troublesome" written all over her, but he didn't feel like being all that stern and telling her to go away. After all, she didn't do anything wrong exactly. Whatever, she could do whatever she wanted, Ignis couldn't care less. Not like he had anything better to do with everyone from his gang missing. "Guess I am," he replied to her comment about him being a "tough cookie". Boy she knew how to pick her comparisons, didn't she? He guessed they weren't unpleasant at least, which was a change for once.
He set himself up for more work didn't he? A small sigh escaped his lips as he didn't even halt his stride, replying with his usual nonchalant and uncaring tone, "I think you already came up with a few just from a handful of minutes talking to me..." He figured they wouldn't be enough though, as this bubbly little sprite was sure to come up with many more. Flicking the ash from his cigarette upon an ashtray that happened to be at a convenient distance while he passed, the man took a drag and exhaled the smoke calmly to the front, wondering what he'd do now since he had a little, perhaps slightly endearing, hyperactive flea following him. He guessed he'0d just wander about aimlessly until she just got bored and left. Yeah, that was a good plan.

Mina was trying her best not to get frustrated. She really was. He continued to dismiss her when she was only trying to be nice and helpful. It was like he continuously wanted her gone- but was too lazy to make her leave on her own. Her cheeks puffed out as she tried to compose herself with that knowledge. What was the big deal? Couldn’t he take a little thanks! He’s acting like he’s obligated to be a stupid aloof hero type! She wasn’t a princess, she was a hero too! “Ninja way.” She sing-songed. “A ninja knows the good guys! You have to just let me in and be a friend! Come on, you can do it! I have faith in you and your…aloofness!” There was a pause. “Is that a word?” She mumbled to herself. “Of course it’s a word.” She continued with a nod. She huffed up at him through her orange tinted lenses as if to dare him to continue ignoring her ninja-way. It was ridiculous! She was trying to pay him back and he’s being a butt! She cringed slightly and almost rolled her eyes at the cliché ‘leave me alone and let me brooding’ line. “And you would be the first in line pictured for a superhero movies at the end of the 90’s.” She muttered flatly. “There’s good in mostly everyone- and I know if you saved me you obviously have a little in you! What? You going to tell me you just like to save girls in your day job and turn into a mass murderer at night? Don’t get cliché on me! That’s my job. I bet you’re perfectly fine!” Mina returned in her normal voice. “No, I gave you nickname-expressions. You have to be given an actual nickname.” Though the more he acted like this- the more she remembered her brother talking about city folk. Even if he had boundless optimisim, he did say city folk weren’t as friendly. She couldn’t say that often, there were some people who were genuinely friendly, but some people- like Ignis were the opposite. Sometimes they just needed a hug though. She was however acutely aware he would not like a hug. “So where are we going?” She didn’t leave herself out of the equation as she tottered after him, looking around. Tag:@ Ignatius Cross
