Black fingernails flashed momentarily as equally dark hair was threaded carefully out of his face. While Grayson’s hair didn’t happen to be quite as long as Felix’s, he spent plenty of time fixing it. At least an hour of his time before they’d left the suit had been spent curled up on the sink in the bathroom as a straightener was pulled through the thick locks. While his hair wasn’t curly at all, it was exceedingly thick. For him to get it to lay how he liked it, he had to straighten it, which typically involved a lot of hair ties and layering. And then, of course, until he got sufficiently drunk it meant keeping all of that work protected as well. Glasses were pushed up on his face as blue eyes flashed over to his companion. A little grin appeared on his lips before his gaze moved forward again.
When Felix had made the decision to go out tonight, Grayson had been more than happy really. He hated sitting around in the suite, even if he had plenty of homework to do. Whatever. It was Spring Break anyway. He’d worry about all of that when he stayed up all of Sunday night nursing a hangover to complete it. This was his first Spring Break, and he wasn’t about to waste it. It wasn’t like they could go anywhere, so they had to make the best of it. And Sumner City had some pretty good clubs and attractions anyway.
“Where ya wanna go first?” He questioned the other male, his hips swinging to the side momentarily to knock into Felix’s. The gesture was gentle enough that he wouldn’t send the redhead falling over, but it might send him sideways a step or two just depending. An easy laugh passed from his lips as he straightened the clothes he’d spent an ungodly amount of time picking out. Ah, well, what could he say? He was pretty vain all things considered.

Absent fingers grazed through lose strands of hair habitually as long legs and feet worked fluidly to saunter Felix down the street. Intent blue eyes flickered to and from large street objects, carving out interest that preferred to sit upon a smoothly pressed smile than course into action. It was not Felix’s first time in Summer City and would not be his last. He knew that well, and his eyes searched not to imprint scenic images upon his mind but for the slightest notion of something more, something interesting as opposed to the dull actions of a southern city. It was habit breathed, as natural as drawing index and middle fingers together to twist at loose orange locks. It was Spring break; there had to be something fun going on!
Catching the gaze of his companion, Felix flashed a warm grin, a laugh threatening to burst for no reason. He calmed, however, as eyes left his own and traveled forwards again. Tentatively, his stare persisted for longer than necessary before folding forwards again, once more drawing in images he’d already written into his mind’s eye. Of all the things around them right then and there, Gray was the most interesting, really. Felix hoped whatever the afternoon, soon to turn night, would change that. No offense to his best friend, of course, heh.
As the question pricked in his ears, Felix grinned, a momentary laugh escaping from him when a hip bone met his own. A simple step sideways was taken, before a roll of hips reverberated obscurely into a shoulder shrug. “Just a couple blocks down has that outdoor patio,” he commented gazing in the general direction they were headed. “Ya think they have someone playing on a week day?” He asked already assuming that there was probably some poor sole playing his heart out there by now. Those who wanted recognition for their more projectable talents flocked there at all seasons, though admittedly, it had shrunken considerably when the event had occurred and sealed those meant to stay inside, inside and locked everyone else out.
Gazing as a few cars made their way in the opposite direction, Felix smiled. Some people were headed home when they fun was just about to start!

Dark blue eyes traveled sideways to meet similarly colored ones. A little smirk continuously played on his lips, inviting and warm. Everything about his body language hinted that the male was open to conversation with anyone and everyone, though his companion was who held his attention currently. Felix had a way of holding his attention that no one else could. But of course, no one else had managed to see as much of him as Felix had. Not that he readily dwelled on it or thought about it. No, he didn’t readily dwell on much of anything unless he found it to be interesting or fun. And while Felix was certainly both of these things, his relationship with the redhead was complicated and therefore not thought about quite as much as it should have been.
As the suggestion to go to the patio was given, lips would purse for the briefest of moments before a laugh escaped them. Nothing was funny, really, he just felt like laughing. He felt light and happy, which was a nice change. School kept him more stressed than he readily showed, so a break was more than needed at this point. Even his expertly, and almost unconsciously, formed façade had been harder to keep up in the last several weeks. While he certainly wasn’t alone in the fact that his grades determined whether or not his school would be paid for, he kept it to himself. His relationship with his father wasn’t something he liked to discuss, though it accounted for a very large amount of his stress.
“Hmmm,” he mused softly as he thought the question over. “There’ll prolly be someone there, but it’s really a coin toss on whether or not they’ll be worth listenin’ to.” He answered finally, honestly. Had anyone else been privy to the conversation, his answer would have been much more sugar coated, but that wasn’t necessary right now. “We could check it out?” He offered, his gaze finally leaving Felix to look out over the street and at their surroundings. He didn’t find anything particularly interesting there, however.
