History
Levi was born to two parents he was sure would be good for someone else, but not for him. They were caring, often letting him do whatever he wanted with little guidance. They forced him to go to church and they forced him to go to school, but otherwise he never really had a relationship like a normal one with his parents. At first, it seemed perfectly normal. They were all smiles on the outside and they were well off monetarily. He got most of what he wanted at Christmas time, and he did get the 'reindeer' food for Christmas to sprinkle out on his lawn with glee. He got most things he wanted...at least material items.
His parents were cruel or overly negligent, but they didn't connect with their child often. Levi was often one questioning everything in church and he was quickly shushed. When he had questions, they rarely answered them the way he wanted. There just didn't seem to be a 'connection'. When he was sick, he was often put in the care of his elderly grandparents instead of his mother or father. He fostered more of a connection with them, than he did his own parents. He didn't hate them but Levi never went out of his way to express love he wasn't sure he had.
Seeing the children around him dancing and talking about their either 'horrible' or 'awesome' parents, he felt strangely in this mist. His parents were terrible...but Levi didn't feel like they were awesome either. He felt his grandparents were awesome...but there wasn't much else he had in common with them. He was a bookworm and extremely small for his age, so naturally as soon as he hit third grade- he was used to being one of the quick targets on the playground. He tried to speak up to his parents, but they said it was normal for him. He was just small.
This strange feeling he had never went away since then. He felt detached from his family, detached from his friends, and in general detached from most things. When he got sick it would just be an 'oh'. When people tried to make him mad, he would just shrug. When something bad happened to one of his friends, he would fake sympathy. Levi eventually did manage to get past elementary and middle with little trouble. He passed with mostly just a hint above average grades.
It was then, that the detachment only got worse when he got home. His parents were working more- and he could feel the stress just pour in from his father's rough job. He didn't /want/ to be related to them. At fourteen, he made the decision to move into his grandfather and grandmother's home. They were nice people, and he didn't feel as depressed or depersonalized when he was with them. While his parents were confused and often tried to coax him back home- he knew he would only feel worse there. Even worse, he didn't care about his memories or anything in that home. He took what he did have memories to and moved into the moderate sized home of his grandparents. He did chores and generally did whatever they asked- so they didn't see much problem letting him move in. He was a responsible boy who could take care of himself.
However when he did move, he transferred counties which meant a new public school. This is where he met Raphael, another boy that was detached. Or at least acted like it. The two were quiet, got along, and seemed to be 'friends' in the basest sense. When Raphael's mother adored how he looked and urged him to become a model...he did it for the sake of it. He didn't care about his body or care about any of it- but money was money and his grandparents have done nothing but good things for him. He could at least support them somehow. Apparently his 'youthful look' was something people wanted. Raphael and he were in general still the same however. He started to wear more 'fashionable' clothes- but seemed to in general be more open minded and a bit happier.
While his parents frown at him and while they have come to constantly chastise him...he doesn't mind. He likes being away from them, and he's happy he can feel more personal and smile a bit more often. In a way, the two past years couldn't have made him happier.
When the 'event' happened- he wasn't sure what to think. Obviously his more religious thoughts said it didn't exist, but seeing Abaddon the next day set that straight. His wish was rather simple. To go to college debt-free, since he didn't want to put the burden on his grandparents. He got a note a week later saying that he had enough for his college tuition.
Insignia Level 1
"Abaddon" - Level 2 - Abaddon is a creature of myth, the same name for the angel of abyss. However one would be tasked to find the actual connection between the spirit and the name of the ability. Split into two, the familiar and the ability are actually the very same thing. The insignia is located above his right hip. It is the ancient Hebrew script for Abaddon. (אֲבַדּוֹן)
Familiar - Abaddon as he named himself is a creature of curiosity and enigma. That is if he could actually remember what he was supposed to be doing. Abaddon has been cursed with amnesia and often has terrible longterm memory loss combined with his selective hearing means he rarely remembers anything that doesn't concern him. Overly friendly, he seems to wish to be treated like a king and has the obliviousness to go with it. Confidence and poise seem to get him far until he opens his mouth. He is in a sense, everything Levi is not, much to his disdain. Abaddon is not a cruel familiar and genuinely wishes to see Levi grow and accept himself. He seems to understand that Levi is all kinds of screwed up, but his naiveness does not seem to help the detached personality he's been attached to. At first, Abaddon was just a familiar, however through happenstance and saving a woman by completely coincidence, he was gifted with a level two ability, which happens to be Abaddon possessing him. How this works out for Levi, no one knows.
- The level one possession is as simple as it sounds. He grows a bit taller, his voice deeper, but otherwise he rarely changes. What the main problem is, is Abaddon has full control over his body. He's not stronger, smarter, or anything other than Levi's traits- so it seems almost useless unless it's for a photo shoot because at least Abaddon is good at that. For every day he spends not taking over Levi, he gets an hour in return when he does wish to do so. There's no known benefit to this power.
- The original power for this insignia is one they both are not sure what it does. Called simply "Destruction", if they work together a two foot by two foot area is completely demolished. The height of this area is in general four feet tall. (2x2x4) The less that's in the area, the less energy it drains from him. (For example, if there's nothing in the area to destroy but air, it's not nearly as taxing as let's say...a table.) He can really only do this coherently twice if he actually destroys anything at all.
Extra - Physically inept - He sucks at running, he sucks at lifting, he sucks at generally anything that involves his body and physical labor is laughable at best.
- Architecture Degree - He's not exactly good at science or he would turn his eyes there. He prefers Architecture since it has nothing to do with people and everything to do with how pretty and stable it is.
- Fashion Disaster - For some, it looks like he shoved a fork into an electrical socket with his hair. With others, they wonder why he's wearing leather. In general, his fashion usually offsets quite a few many people.
- Quite bad at video games - He can barely understand basic A/B mechanics, don't ask him to learn a whole video game.
- Can't drive - He has to stack at least three phone books for him to see over the steering wheel.
