History
- Born into luxury with a silver spoon in his mouth, Cyrus, named after his grandfather, had a life where everything was given to him on a golden trey. His father and grandfather were co-owners and co-CEO’s of a major pharmaceutical company, which was the shareholder of various other international companies under them. Needless to say that money was never an issue when it came down to it. Sadly, not all the money in the world could save Cecil’s mother from eclampsia, not having been detected early on. Luckily they were able to deliver a healthy baby boy.
- Though absent, his father made sure his son had all he could ever need, with an added bonus of what he wanted from time to time so as to not spoil him. But leaving him in the care of someone that wasn’t family, that couldn’t form a bond with the child considering how he behaved, it goes without saying that he developed to be a somewhat arrogant child. Though he was never one to throw fits or tantrums, there was always an air of superiority about him that was quite frankly aggravating to say the least. A child should not be that confident. He had his grandfather to blame for that, filling his head with stories and his ego. It was mostly all around the company though… That was all he ever cared about.
- That would be proven right, as when his father passed away in a plane crash due to an error made by both the ground staff and the maintenance crew, all that wretched old man could think of was how he could save the company, since he was already old and the board took his son’s opinions and decisions above his. He was still a young teenager when it occurred. And though he was never close to his father, Cecil still demanded respect and be allowed to mourn, something his grandfather didn’t allow him. The only thing that came out good in this tragedy was that Cecil realized he couldn’t behave the way he did, that he needed to grow up and be a man.
- He could only be truly free when he was out of his house in school. It was a place where his “heritage” wouldn’t reach him yet and where he could do one of his passions, which was in-line skating. He simply seemed to have a knack for it and he adored speeding through the halls of the absurdly large mansion that his family owned when he was but a kid. And it was thanks to it that he met the greatest friend he’d ever have, the boy by the name of Tobias Higgins. He was an odd fellow, but for some reason and thanks to a week of making sure he was alright when he rammed him down while performing a trick, they just seemed to connect.
- At first, he’d use him to do his homework while he enjoyed the life of a teenager, using his looks and style to conquer teenage girls left and right. But in time he grew fond of the other, even going as far as inviting him to live together in the small miniature mansion he had bought to be closer to school when he had trouble at home. It was nice having someone around that didn’t care for his money. Or… Seemed to notice it… He was always shocked and surprised to see his possessions, but never seemed to question how much they cost. He was certainly odd in all aspects, but still was his best friend.
- A fun little event occurred though a year before the “event” occurred. While he made a surprise visit to his grandfather, who he had not seen in quite a while for some reason, he discovered from one of his father’s old workers and best friends that apparently his grandfather was withholding funds from him and syphoning them into his own accounts. Not only that, he neglected to tell him that the company had been left to him by his father in his will, which he unfortunately couldn’t take over since he was still too young at the time. Also the order of giving him a pension until he’s old enough to seize control of the company.
- Cecil had never been the type of kid to be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he certainly wasn’t a fool. So with the help of this man, the both orchestrated to have his grandfather removed from the company by exposing his doings and putting someone decent and actually trustworthy in charge, making the man who aided both him and his father in the past as the CEO until Cecil came of age and decided to take control of the company. And while Cecil showed no interest in being bound to that place, the man was kind enough to extend a promise that the throne would always be there if he wanted it.
- What happened to his grandfather? He doesn’t know nor care as he fled as fast as he could after the dust settled. One thing is for sure though, he doesn’t want to see him ever again as he’s pretty sure he’ll do something they’ll both regret.
- The “event” came so suddenly and unexpectedly. He was allowed a wish, though it was almost barely given considering how arrogant he was to the woman that had bestowed upon him that chance. With a slide of his hand upon the bottom of whatever footwear he is using at the time, a line of functional wheels will appear upon it. These are very durable, but not entirely indestructible.
Insignia Level 1
Momentum Drive - Level 1 – This ability bestows upon Cecil the ability to increase the momentum of his movement, allowing him to perform feats such as increasing the speed in which he’s sliding, moving, jumping forward and falling. He can also use this to increase the strength of his blows, but of course with the few provisos that come with this ability. Extended use makes his muscles actually lockdown from being influenced by the forces involved for too long, along with the fact that his body is still human. That means that if he increases the momentum of a downward kick, his body will suffer the normal recoil just the same. That could have dire consequences to his well-being and structure. It’s also very painful for him once his body comes out of lockdown… To the point of tears and more.
A black arrow now appeared on the upper part of each of his feet, pointing forward.
Passive – Taking the form of a sparrow-like wisp with a long crest upon its head, his insignia was named “Aero” by him. They were made for each other, though Aero might be a tad much more energetic.
Extra
Heartbreak-Kid: He’s… A little heartbreaker. And by little, it means a very big unpleasant individual that has a tendency to break the hearts of girls that fall for him. He just can’t help if they’re so bland when it comes to personality. But he guesses they make up in other ways.
My best friend is a nerd: Best friends with Tobias Higgins, he often finds himself teasing and playing around with the fact that he’s highly intelligent. To be truthful? He respects it and him to the point of envy really.
Money, money, money: In the end, he’s still a spoiled rich kid and he isn’t exactly shy about it. “If you’re gonna go? Go big,” seems to be a motto of his.
Expensively discreet: While he does have money and isn’t afraid to spend it, he doesn’t seem to enjoy telling others where he got the money, or talk about the company he is to take control over eventually. Or is expected to. He doesn’t know why, but it’s just how he is.
Say my name!: It irks him immensely when people don’t know how to pronounce his name. It’s pronounced “Ceh-cil”, not “Cee-cil”. Even if he hates the man that
