Her airheaded father only fell into the trap of his wife because he was too set on his ridiculous inventions. The woman wanted the money from the throne. Seeing a girl however irritated her partly since it was just another setback in her plan- and it was hard enough to get pregnant in the first place. She started to treat Vita very harshly, telling her that she would have been better off a boy. Dressing her girl up as a boy and trying to get the girl to act like a correct heir was just about impossible as could be. She still seemed to cater to that ridiculous free will like her father did and did anything she could to oppose her. While it was tense, she was taken care of. - Around seven years old- her mother sent her story to the grandfather of the family. The man who ran the company found his son guilty again and quickly told him to get his stuff together. He was going to go and /do his job/ and there was any ifs and buts about it. Storming out of the house- Vita was only returned later in the day and told that their father left them for good. She, being frustrating and 'believing' that her dad was better than that, she planned to find out the 'real' reason he left. Waiting for night- she slipped down to his invention room and tried to see if there was something that was there that he left. Unknown to her she had turned on several things in her fumbling. It started a fire - and it quickly consumed the home. Her mother died- and she survived with some third degree burns. - Sent to live with her grandfather- she was quickly drawn into his mental abuse- believing everything he said to her. It took her a very long time for her to see he only was using her- but she still went back several times during her school to help him. It lasted till she was around sixteen without much interference until she got a strange letter from her 'father'. Eager to see him once more- she quickly found where he was hiding and learned that her father was dying of stage four cancer. It was really hard to understand- but he told her more about the world and what he learned. She never called him 'father' or 'dad' anymore, but he was still part of her life. He died eight months later. - Her grandfather has since stepped down from his company but has paved the way for her to take it back in due time. He's losing his mind and she lets him decay. She does not feel any connection to the man any longer and lets him think he has control until she gets a chance to crush him. She is not an heir, she's Vita Romanov- and she's going to take the world into her hands. - When the event happened- she wasn't sure what to think. At first she thought it couldn't be real. After all, this was just one trippy dream. However when her wish to understand cats and dogs actually happened and they were /talking to her/ she decided that this trippy dream wasn't going to stand in her way- and if she was going to become a cat hoarder- then so be it. Her wish from her six year old mind apparently gave her a boost that she didn't know she needed. Insignia Level 1 "Firespirit" - Level 1 - Vita can control small fire balls and fire in general has a hard time hurting her. She usually uses this to entertain the small children she has to take care of than use it for any type of good or bad. She's able to create small 'wisps' of fire for light sources, to light things, and to make it dance in the air. Otherwise she's not sure if it can burn other people. Her mark is on her shoulder- where she was burned in the fire. Passive: A small fire sprite that tends to look like a small bird. It likes to perch on her shoulder occasionally, but mostly talks to her telepathically and stays hidden. She named it 'Phoenix'. Phoenix is extremely motherly and seems to be very old. She has more than once talked about the bringers and has complimented other humans for staying sane under their thumb. She seems to be always molding Vita and those around her into a better person. She rarely however wishes to use violence or any harsh words. Next to Vita's cursing however she comes across as a proper lady. Extra Has a lot of cats/dogs/strays - If this woman could possibly adopt all the animals in the world - she would. She loves cats, dogs, birds, any stray animal she meets. She normally carries at least two cat food cans with her and a dog food can in her car. She rarely is ever away from her stray cat colonies for too long, preferring that they all keep a very good relationship with her. A bit of a Pyromaniac - She loves candles, fire, burning things, and other things of that variety. She's pretty sure that's why her ability has to do with fire. Her love of fire is something a bit strange since she was in a burning home and almost died, but she respects fire and doesn't wish to see it's beauty abused. Loves the winter - Again, despite her love of fire, her favorite season is winter. She just likes everything about winter. She misses the snow. She does wear female clothing - She actually enjoys wearing 'female' clothing. To her, she sees nothing wrong with wearing whatever clothes she personally likes. Some of them are designed for males and some are for females. She doesn't mind wearing a T-shirt and jeans and tying up her hair or letting it down and wearing a dress. It tends to always throw people through a loop though. Her crossdressing has nothing to do with gender, just the clothes she likes. She loves small plush like toys - It might be the extension of her love for animals, but she just finds them cute. Walks every day - Vita is extremely active and loves working out and walking. She normally is walking all over for the cat colony- and chasing after small children tends to be a hassling task already. Eats strange mixtures of food - Cheesecake-lettuce-blueberry muffin smoothie anyone? She loves to spoil people - It's just a habit- but she actually likes to spoil people- despite her off-kilter and irritated demeanor. She actually loves giving people things and since her father and grandfather were rich despite their absolutely disgusting parenting techniques, at least she got all the money. She's a sucker for a good book or plot - You can immediately draw her into anything with the right words for a good plot or story.
